Fall, 2016 Demo Reel
Finally cut together a new demo reel to send out to studios. The reel is mostly new renders but you may have seen most of them if you follow me on my tumblr. But even still, there are a few things that I've not really thrown up anywhere. so take a look if you're interested.

Cut together a brand new demo reel today. Lord knows I’ll probably end up feeling dissatisfied with it by nightfall but right now? I think it came together nicely. Will hopefully send it out to a few places before the day is done.

Howdy folks, if you’re seeing this you probably already know that my name is Dave and I am a 3D artist. A few years ago on this very blog I tried to pick up some commissions, for various reasons I didn’t get any bites. In any case I think it’s the right time for me to try and get some commissions going again.
As you can see my prices are: $20 for a base character model, $35 for a model with diffuse textures, and $50 dollars for both of those with a fully poseable rig. Depending on the complexity/simplicity of the character the rates might be a little different.

Hi, it's Dave here,
I know I don't write journals much. Pretty much only whenever I have a new demo reel whipped up actually. As you may or may not know I spend a lot of time contributing my efforts to a game design collective I'm a part of.
The Duneworld and I have worked together to make several games over the past year and I thought to finally show them off. Some of them are more prototypical than others and may be rough around the edges but I think some are worth showing off finally.

Heh, I guess that's how it works. The most impressive things aren't always the most enjoyable to do. Should do some more still life modeling though, and on the next update I reckon I'll slow down the turns of the object composition. For how long it's on screen it spins way too many full rotations.
The spaceships are thus far the only things I've ever been paid to model. For a tabletop boardgame company in Colorado actually. It was a fun project but ended up taking far too long for the money and time I put into it. I have four fleets of eight ships from it.
